The new displays are in and set up, and they look amazing! Last month's renovations to the shop have created a much more open, welcoming space, and the new cases have made it even easier to shop our HUGE inventory. We're having some first-rate guest artists coming through the shop in the next two months, so if you're debating whether it's the time to get that piercing you've been thinking about... It's the time.

We're very excited to have Elayne Angel at the studio from August 14th to 17th. Elayne is a three-term Board member of the Association of Professional Piercers and an industry veteran. She got her start working at gauntlet starting in the early 80s, and then opened Rings of Desire in New Orleans in the early 90s. She closed her studio shortly after the hurricane and moved to Mexico to start her new life -- as an author. Her recently published book -- The Piercing Bible -- is the most comprehensive book on modern body piercing yet. (You can purchase copies at the studio, or through safepiercing.org.) She claims to have performed in excess of 40,000 piercings, and her specialty is female genital piercings. From August 19th to September 1st, we will once again have Lysa Spitkovski at Infinite. Lysa has been a guest of the shop more than anyone else, and we are always excited to have her here. From September 3rd to 5th, we will also be welcoming back Autumn Swisher -- of New York Adorned -- for the weekend. Come on in, and show her Philly isn't as mean as New York people say it is. Of course, we have our regular staff of piercers -- Kellan, Jay, and Kyle -- ready to satisfy your every piercing whim. Starting this month, our apprentice Kali will also be piercing! If you're feeling a little more adventurous (and maybe looking to save a little money) give the shop a call and see when Kali is available. Even if you're not getting pierced, come in and see all the new jewelry we brought back from this year's APP Conference.
