So you're wondering about genital piercings? Well first off, let's dispel a couple misconceptions you may have. Despite their intimidating reputation, genital piercings are no more painful than other piercings, and are often much easier to heal. And while many people think of their genitals as "dirty" and prone to infection, the exact opposite is true. Because of the increased blood flow and rapidity of healing, genital piercings are among the piercings least prone to infection. And (when you wear clothes) they generally don't get subjected to the germs of your everyday environment as much as, say, an exposed ear piercing would.

If you have questions, check out the [FAQ] section. There are also descriptions of individual piercings accompanying the images in the of the respective sections so you can connect the information to the aesthetics. Remember, though, that everyone's genitals are different and these images may not be exactly what your parts or your piercing will look like. If you're wondering about the care and feeding of your new accouterment, check out both the General and Genital sections of our Aftercare.

And you'll want to ask yourself a couple questions as well. When you're thinking about getting a genital piercing, it's important to figure out what you want to get out of it. Is it more for decoration or stimulation? Is it for your enjoyment or that of your partner(s)? Do you have a long-term goal or project in mind?

Hopefully in the sections that follow, you'll find the answers to your questions, as well as some extra food for thought. And, as always, if you need more info, please feel free to call the shop or email us.
